I have an 05 gmc crew cab 5.3 4x4. I just finished putting a 212/218 comp cam an some headers an new lifters an had a efi live tune put in it.. I can tell good bit of difference in power but want get little more out it but don't want do to much more bc I drive it everyday.. What would be best it has 3:73 gears now was think bout putting lower gears or doing something with heads or putting different heads on it what would be best heads if I did

 

I don't think heads are going to help you any, you really don't have a real need to make it breath any better.

Gears or a stall converter. But gears will be spendy because you have to do both diffs.

Or drop 500lbs lol.

 

Or get smaller diameter tires, what size do you have now?

 

I'm have 34 on it but I don't want go with a smaller tire

 

Think I might end up going with some 4.56 gears

 

Do expect your fuel mileage to suffer with those gears.

 

With that tire regear for sure. I'd do 4.10 gears even if it's one step up from 3.73 or maybe 4.30

Honestly 4.10 is a tad too much in the highway with my 33" tires. Driving around town is excellent though.
