Does anyone know if the motor is higher speed or higher
torque (or both) than the F-body? I want to increase
the fan driven airflow on my Camaro SS and looking for
a better motor, seems like the way to go. I figure the
trucks probably have better cooling than my "love
bucket".

They would flow more air, but won't bolt into your shroud, or if you used the truck shroud it would be too big for your radiator. If you wanted some aftermarket fans you would need to go with something like 2 16" zirgo fans off of ebay. They flow about 3300 cfm each. That is a bunch of air.

I've updated my 03'SS to the 05 fans. Here is a picture. The install took mayby 20 minutes. I got theses thru Zippy.

I made my own wiring harness and have the pcm controlling the fans.

Will GM be coming out with a set that fits 28" radiators?

It would seem like that would be the case.

Care to share your wiring harness build instructions and if a stock PCM on an 04 ECSB 4.8 can controll the fans?

yes a pacm in an 04 can control the fans IF it has been turned on with edit or hp tuners.
