Default 05 E-fans Installation Questions

I just bought some 05 truck electric fans that I want to install on my 03 Silverado. I want to get all of my parts lined up for this project and have some questions.
  • I need a 34" radiator. What is the GM part number for the correct radiator? Is there a better place to get one than from GM?
  • I did a search and found references to Nelson fan harnesses. Where to I get one? I did not see Nelson on the sponsor list.
  • Will all of my radiator hoses, tranny cooler lines, etc. bolt up to the larger radiator?
  • Is there anything else that I need other than programming for the fans?
Thanks.

I thought that the larger radiator was for the 6.0, not the 5.3

That's what I thought too that only the HD and SS trucks have the larger radiator. I'll measure mine to be sure though.

The HD and 6.0 trucks should have the large radiator. I believe everyone gets the smaller one.

Thanks.

34" radiator comes n 6.0L powered vehicles. I'm about to put some in my 03 also.
1> I've also looked for the GM part number online. GMParts direct says go to the dealer. Closest I've found is here. Radiator Barn

2>Harness here Nelson Performance Supose to be anyway

3> Should be a direct bolt in. Think we have an oil cooler in the radiator to.

4> Tuner to turn on the fans outputs from the PCM and to set the setpoints!

Good luck and post how it goes

Thanks for the help everyone.

I checked mine out and it does have the small radiator without an oil cooler. It looks like there is plenty of slack in the lines/hoses to reach to the new radiator.

I'll give Nelson Performance a call and order the harness. Then all I'll need is for FlashScan to be released so that I can turn the fans on...

I read on another forum that the harness is $80.

Is the 05' fans better than the LS1 fans? Looks like it cost about $100 more to go with the 05' fans.
