I just got my new 05 1500 w/ a 5.3 besids cat back exhaust and fipk what are some mods without voiding that pesky waranty

Throttle body sapcer and pullies wont void it! not really that much power gains with that tough! If you are worried about voiding the warranty there is not really much you can do!

Intake,Cat-Back and tuning should get you close to 300rwhp on the 05 trucks

My CC/SB (3:73 gears) 5.3 dynoed 270 rwhp 100% stock with 250 miles

Cat back and intake are great, but add a tune for optimum power increase. Since your truck is brand new you might want a handheld, rather than a mail order tune, that way you can go back to stock if it needs to be brought back to the dealer. Id recomend a predator if you do that.
