Default 04 Z71 No electricity

my 04 Z71 worked fine this morning i used the remote to unlock the doors got in the truck got some stuff out for drill my friend comes by to clean the mess out of my truck at 13:00 the truck works i get home at 16:00 and the truck is dead no power lights dead nothing works. i checked everything to see if somethng was left on nothing was at fault i hooked a 04 tahoe to the Z71 and the battery sparked and the cables stuck to the battey terminals i then disconnected the battery from the truck hooked the cables direct to the battery cables in the truck the truck started up and idled fine. i then disconned the jumper cables expecting the truck to die and it kept on running with the cable disconnected. i then reconnected the positive terminal and the truck died i disconnected the positive and negative restarted the truck it started back up i connected the positive then the negative and the truck ran fine. i turned the truck off expecting the battery to be shot but the damn truck fired right back up as if the battery was never disconnected even the radio station was still set correctly

Did you try wiggling the cables to see if they were loose at all before jump starting it? Or check for any corrosion which inhibited contact?

Also I assume this is the stock battery. Check to make sure it's not leaking. I know the older trucks had a problem with this as mine did.

Floow the cables to their conneciton points off the battery and ensure that those are tight also.
