But I would also look into getting rid of that Flow Bastard. The chambered design really seem to choke the engine down.
Yeah, that's why I'm running my cutout open for now until I get a new muffler. I'll most likely do that when I do my long tubes in the spring when taxes come back

Without headers, I think you'll be lucky to pick up more than 10-15 hp after tuning, which probably is not enough to shut down a car you previously lost to. Especially considering these Tahoe's weigh close to 5700lbs..... Mine's going on a diet this winter.

Maybe I wasn't clear. He already installed the cam, raced a Honda and lost, now he wants to know if a tune will get him much hp. IMO, I doubt he'll pick up anything more than 10-15rwhp after the tune from where he is currently at with the cam installed.

I went to an import day at the track an hour from where i live, and raced a few imports on the highway. from 50-100mph i owned them, but after 100 they ate me alive. and i have 3.73 gears plus my sig stuff. they have hella top end, even in stock form.

I wasn't specifically asking what more I need to beat an accord or any other import. I was really just wondering how much of a difference tuning will make after the swap.

It does kinda **** you off though, losing to a rice steamer.

My wife has a nice V6 Accord that she has had since before I met her. Damn glad I haven't challenged her yet cause shes really into NHRA and I would never live it down lol.

besides not having a propper tune i think whats really holding you back is the stock manifolds the larger cam probably isnt able to perform to its true potential since the motor cant breathe like it needs to just my .02

Well, good thing i have longtubes planned for spring then.

Wish i could have done them now, but i've got three bolts broken off in the head that I haven't even touched. I don't trust myself to drill them out, so I'll have to have a shop do that.
