Well, you can send it in to Diablo to reflash it or whatever back to its stock settings, so it will/should work on another truck.

But...the ******** charge $75 for it.

that is another strike against it. are you really going to get all that much to justify spending the 75 to get it reflashed? not worth the headache

All I know is the tune in the '04 needed some help, and the Predator was the ticket.
There are plenty of good tuners out there no dout. The fact that the '04 Pred. seems more powerful than before and it gives you the DTC's and you can look at real time data is not bad either. does'nt LS1 edit marry itself to the truck as well?

Diablo told me they can't take the vin numbers out. Cause thats what I asked them, so maybe i could still sell it to someone else. Don't want to sell them anything if it isn't right. I'm not out to make a bad name for myself.

the only thing a predator is good for (on anyone elses car but yours) is the code scanner/code delete, and reading real time codes. Programming is not available on any vin but yours.

Im sure it can be de-vin'd...but they arent going to allow that

the edit cable is tunes to your vin number. but edit is way more powerful than predator. the pred doesnt even compare to edit. and you can spend 150.00 and get another vin attached to your edit cable.

The Predator is an excellent tuner for a stock engine, but once you start to do serious mods, the usefulness drops. You can get free custom tunes via email, but I've had 3 different tunes and they all made the drivabilty worse.

I just ordered HP tuners, with tuning and scanning in one, cable locked to year not Vin, its a bargain at $499.
