Hey Flem, you know your stuff man! The '02 LS6 intake lobes are retarded 2*. For this reason, I installed (still installing) an adjustable Rollmaster double timing chain set. I advanced the '02 LS6 cam 4* with the Rollmaster. I am expecting good things with this cam! I will let you guys know how she feels

Default What kind of power can be made by a 5.3?

I am figuring that it can perform pretty close to an ls1 but I am not sure.Just lookin for an engine for my 57 chevytruck.

Well, right now she feels like a turd compared to my Crane Cam! I am only beginning tuning for it though (I know that WOT is way rich)
However, L-trims are now really negative which leads me to believe that the '02 LS6 cam is not letting in as much air as the 208/216 .500/.500 113lsa cam was. that was alot of work for this, I will tune before I get too frustrated though...

i have a few questions on the LS6 cams also. what about the 01 LS6 cam? i have a complete engine waiting to go into my truck. should i swap the cam out to a 02 cam or just go with an aftermarket one. how would the 01 cam do in my 99 5.3 that has the crappy factory cam still in it? would it be worth swapping it in until i put the whole LS6 in?
