I just put an 06 engine into a 00 truck, so it is definately possible.

You would need to put your intake manifold on it because of the fuel system and throttle body. I also had to change my oil sending unit, not sure if that would be applicable in your situation

He has a V6 so my guess would be to get ahold of an 04+ manifold with fuel rails and stuff with the returnless style system (assuming your v6 has the same fuel system as the v8 trucks.) and also a newer comp. and harness

computer, harness, complete engine from intake to pan, fuel rails and injectors, someway to connect your fuel lines to the rails, motor mounts, headers or manifolds, all of the accessories like p/s pump, water pump, ac compressor, alt, idler, and tensioner. Some way to connect your a/c compressor to the v6 lines, P/s hoses to connect to the steering gear. And probably a bunch of other stuff I'm not thinkin about.
