Default 01 5.3L LQ4 need info on stock valvesprings

I was not sure what springs came on the 01 5.3L trucks motors, but I was thinking that it was the same as the 01 F-body valve springs.

What lifts have been run on these stock springs, without problems?
Would a .535 lift cam do okay with these springs?

Replace your stock valve springs with some LS6 springs, cost $53, they can handle .550" of lift. Anything more than that you will need some Comp 918 springs, cost about $160.

Before we begin: the 5.3 is an LM7, NOT an LQ4.

The stock truck spring is only good to .500"...swap to 02+ LS6 or LS2 springs to get .560" lift capabilities

Jay's a local boy. His Ls1 Camaro was hangin' around the top of the list on LS1 Tech a couple years ago. He sold that 1 and from what I hear the 1 he's got now won't out run my truck.
