Hey guys I got this Silverado 4.8 stock manifolds just got rid of the cats and have a 1 in 1 out flowmaster dumped.with the cats it was really quiet and when I took them off it really baffles around 2500.Is there a better muffler for this situation or do I need the cats back on.thanks in advance

 

I haven't tried enough to be sure. but Being dumped, doesn't help.

1 of my trucks came with a flowmaster and I replaced it with a Magnaflow complete cat back. It isn't as loud inside or out.

 

An ultra quiet resonator will help fix alot of the rasp/baffle/drone.

I bought one from vibrant when I removed my cats for a offroad y-pipe and magnaflow muffler.

 

Thanks guys I'll look into that resonator idea.I've been on YouTube looking at exaust videos of similar set ups and I noticed people dont rev up high just baby revs lol.I guess its because of the baffle.I already bought a MagnaFlow and the guy at the tire shop talked me Into the flowmaster he said it would be too quiet.should of held onto it

 

Get the biggest magnaflow. Im using a 5x11 case dumped before axle with longtubes and its mellow cruising and loud at full throttle.

I was always a flowmaster guy, branched out to spintech muffler. Wont buy another flowmaster again.
