Yukon, Trutrac, or Eaton Posi for 14 bolt street/strip truck
#1
I'm swapping from my 3.42 geared G80 14 bolt to 4.10's to help my 60ft and take off at the strip. Is the Yukon durable enough for track use with a 14bolt, or should I just stick with a Trutrac or Eaton Posi (with the stiffer internal springs/plates).
Suggestions or first hand experience?

I don't have any experience with the Yukon unit but I know the Tru Trac should be able to take anything you throw at it especially in a 9.5 size. Would also recommend the Auburn ECTED electric rear dif, its posi under normal conditions but when you hit the track you hit the switch and makes it a full locker. A little more pricy then the others mentioned but worth looking into for truck thats gonna be on the strip pretty often.

I'm running a TruTrac in a 14 bolt and Eaton posi's in a couple other vehicles. I prefer the Eaton's because there was a handful of times the TruTrac behaved weirdly. It would violently transfer power between the two tires. It seems to have gotten better over time though...

Spoke for awhile with Ron's and got a 4.10 Motive, Yukon posi, and master inastall kit headed my way. Worse case if I hate the yukon I can swap to an Eaton posi or locker later on.
