yank 3000
#1
I am finally getting a yank 3000. I have an aux. cooler as part of the tow package. Do I need to add another cooler inline. maybe one w/ a fan or will my stock set up work since it already has an external cooler? Thanks, Slowec

Exactly what Whitt1 said. I did install an Escalade cluster with trans temp gauge and mine hasn't gone over 150-160 even in the dead of summer on 90+ degree days. I would imagine when towing that the temps could get higher, but I haven't had any issues and I'm running the factory cooler. You're gonna love that converter.

All is gonna go well, and you're gonna need them drag radials! It takes a little "getting used to" as far as launching goes, there is no more bringing it up against the converter and flooring it from a stop. I'm sure you will be in the 8's in the eight if you've already ran 9.2's.

i put a B&M supercooler, 24000 gvwr, highway driving will get the temps way down compared to my stock cooler, city driving will get hot, usually what the engine temp reads, but never get to 200. i am always checking these temps out with my scanner. so no guessing numbers with the stock guages.
