would this still be a 4L65E????

It came out of a 01 Yukon XL Denali with a 6 liter. The RPO code was M32 which IIRC is a 4L65E and all 6.0 equipped half tons came with no less then a 4L65E. It was replaced due to a broken sun shell with 161k on the clock (customer request) and I'm toying with the idea of buying the core if it is indeed a 65E. The only reason I'm in question is its cast into the case 4L60E. I know the cases are the same and the biggest difference is the 5 pinion planets so even though it says its a 60E on the case is it safe to say I can trust the RPO code and it be a 4L65E?

If its out of a 6.0 then yes its a 65e. My rpo code is m32 also and i have a 6.0.

The M32 trans as was installed in the 2001 Yukon Denali and Sierra C3 was called a 4L60E-HD, but is the same transmission as a 4L65E. The name was simply changed for the 2002 and up models.

Well the deal didn't pan out. I was going to pay 1 grand for a 4L60E/4L65E of any kind. I probably wouldn't even pay that for a broke 4L80E.
