Default Won't shift out of 2nd gear

My truck has been running fine without any transmission issues since I've owned it (70,000 miles now). I went to work this morning with the truck running fine. However, when I left work this afternoon, and got on the road, the tranny wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear and up to 3rd. I only have 1st and 2nd now. Does anyone have any idea what it could be or any suggestions on how to remedy it?

Sorry for the late response. I'm going to check my fluid tonight and ill give you guys an update. I hope that the problem is low fluid, it would save me from a huge headache. Thanks.
