will this trans work?
#1
gota 2000 sierra 4x4 came across this deal and wondered if it could be used in my truck and if so with what mods?
New complete 30 spline TCI 700R4 trans and Lock Up Torque Converters .(Still new in box TCI Breakaway and a 10 inch high stall, both lock-up style) . Constant pressure valve body, ( No more burning up the overdrive!! ) Heavy Duty servos, heavier than Corvette style . Deep cast aluminum pan. This is a completely new unit never installed. Paid $3100----- First $1500 takes

I honestly would not even think about doing this. The length of this unit is shorter than what you have. You will have to deal with drive shaft lengths and also the cross member. Also the converter pilot is not going to work and need an adapter. You would have adapt your throttle body to accept a TV cable so the trans shifts..........just not worth it IMO.
