yea, no kidding man. And by high-speed I mean like 85ish.

I was planning on an upgraded trans soon anyway, just not this damn soon. Im wondering if I put in my good ujoint and talk to the guy that rebuilt and play dumb if I cant get my moneys worth with that warranty...

Anyone think a driveshaft loop wouldve helped at all?

When my 10 bolt went and I threw my driveshaft,I broke the same coupler.I'm glad I had the skid plate also because that is what saved my transfer case from skidding down the road. After I replaced the tailhousing/coupler my trans and t. case were fine.My rear and DS were done.

What worries me is dont all of the performance trans makers (ie, flt, performabuilt, etc) use the standard cast aluminum case as the stock one? That is what failed, not the internals....

Its not? It looks like the rear of the transmission case where the transfer case attaches is sheared off...

You broke the coupler, not the transmission or the transfercase...

It's kinda a shitty design hanging the T-case off the coupler like they do anyway
