hey guys i have a killer offer for a 4l80e out of an obs 99 truck for $50, just wondering if it could bolt up to my 03 1/2 ton 5.3. I have read the sticky so I know whats involved but just want to make sure this transmission is the right one to start off with.

 

I'm pretty sure that it will. Hell you can sell it for way more than 50 if it doesn't. I just bought one out of a 2000 for my 1/2 ton.

 

I use a 95 4l80e in my 2001 GMC. I ony had to swap the shift rod in the trans to work with my stock column and then aftermarket shifters and gear selector switch.

 

thanks guys, I was kinda worried because I was told by people that the bolt pattern for the ls1 style bell housing is different than the old 350 style. Anyways I picked it up last night and to my surprise it came with a NP 243 bolted up to it $50 and I could have got him down to 40 bucks but i didn't care at that point.
