Default will 99 blazer trans go into a 99 silverado?

i bought a truck last night for dirt cheap its an ext cab short bed 4x4(floor shift) silverado NBS. i got it for so cheap because the trans was blown. i have a good trans out of a 99 blazer 4x4 (push button 4x4) sitting here im wondering if it will swap right in if i use my t/case? i dont know if the bell housing is the same for the lsx as the blazer was a 4.3 (i know the bellhousings unbolt). so can i swap this trans in with no problems? im sure id have to use the lsx flexplate and converter right?

plans later on for the truck are to swap a 6.0 in and a 80e but that wont be for a few months and i need to get this truck on the road for now. so are they compatable? thanks in advance

I would say if the truck you bought has a 5.7 then yes it will work. 99 trucks in some cases did not have ls1 engines so it might work depending on what you have. HTH Vince

Sorry but the bell bolt pattern, input shaft, stator and converter are different between the two transmissions.
