The main problem, as I see it on the RCSB, there's no place on the frame to mount a bolt in crossmember that spans the frame properly, and doesn't hang down below the frame. I don't know about the other trucks, as I have a RCSB. I bought the tubing loop, and universal crossmember from Summit, but just couldn't come up with a mounting idea that I eas happy with. I ended up usuing the tubing loop, and fabbed up a square tube bracket that bolts to the cab bracing under the cab. I welded 2 threaded plates to these double braces. It was the only thing I could come up with that doesn't look like ****. On other trucks, the driveline might be laid out the same, I'd have to look. I'm out of town right now, but might get around to doing some more when I get back, in May.

chase, I don't think you need one for the front, pretty small and no place to connect one, I am just going to do one on the rear.

Mine is an SUV so probably a little different on the underside, but I just used a Lakewood universal like this one--worked perfectly.

Can you take some pics of that installed? Or post up the dimensions of it? I'd like to know exactly how big that one is.

Is that your opinion or is that in black and white? I'd like to know officially.

look into rules for IMPorts and that will tell you. i dont see why exaclty you would need one for the front. since whole reason for a ds loop is so your truck/car doent pole vault when the front yoke breaks.

that is VERY highly unlikely to happen anyway... its pretty much where by-standers dont get pelted with shrapnel and that the driveshaft doesnt break and cut fluid lines....
