Default whats the horsepower rating on stock 4l60e?

whats the horsepower rating on stock 4l60e? i mean how much can these trannys hold up to by them selves as well as with a aftermarket tranny cooler?

They are only really good to the factory HP rating. You can add a few upgrades to them to get a little more life out of them.

IIRC, I thought I read the torque capacity was like 330 or 360 ft.lbs. Either one is pretty low. Not too many mods & you'll blow right past that number. It takes very little to show the weakness of a stock 60E.

not even, they come factory with tons of torque management.

just dont get on it..my stock trans lasted two weeks when i put my 6.0 in..and my built trans only lasted a few weeks with my 370

haha, wave goodbye! I blew a 60e out of my 97 V6 with 20s. And blew another about 3 months later out of my present truck which was at the time an ALL stock 4.8 with 16" alloys. Good night 60E

I just pulled a perfect working 60e out of my truck with a hd-2 shift kit, billet and corvette servos. If yours goes south or you need a backup let me know.
