Default what are your tranny temps!!

What kind of tranny temps are you guys seeing at normal driving and WOT runs?? Also what kind of tranny and mods. I have a 80e, circle d 3500 triple disc, hd2 shift kit and b&m oil cooler. Before the cooler i was seeing up to 240 degrees!! Now I'm seeing 180 degrees at normal driving and about 190-200 after a wide open run. Just curious if this is normal or not.

My 07 runs 170 no matter what I do, towing, city, hwy, etc... All stock with stock cooler

The 01 sits at 180-185 but it doesn't have an external cooler, no tow package.

My 2000 with 80E swap wouldn't get over 125 no matter how hard I beat on it... I had a large cooler setup on it though.

I've seen a small valvebody crossleak cause a partial apply of a clutch and cause it to run hot all the time. Seen several different types of transmission do this.

Sizzling Texas Heat makes a difference. i would recommend upgrading to tru cool 40k considering all your mods for added cooling and prolonging tranny life.

my 08 silvy with bolt ons runs up to 185 when beating on it;

my 01 gmc with mild 6.0 and 3400 stall runs at 175 with b&m cooler and added 10 fan. in winter 30 some degree weather i just disconnect fan to keep tranny fluid from freezing and messing up tranny.

where are you guys mounting the cooler?? I have mine mounted in the middle of my radiator between both fans. I'm thinking of moving it in front of the fan so that the fan pulls air thru it as well.
