Default What is wrong with my trans no 1st-4th

I was going about 20mph and turned my tow/haul on to make it drop into 1st, as usual I reved it up and tried to ease it into gear then it had a shudder and went into 2nd and then 3rd? Now no 1st or 4th unless I let it cool down and I only see them once. If in 4th and I make it down shift no more 4th. It doesn't seem internal since it comes and goes. Maybe a solenoid? What do you guys think.. Thanks

Sounds like a solenoid to me. Easy repair.

I would start with replacing the "A" aka 1-2 solenoid. This in on in both 1st and 4th as mention above.
