t-56 of course doesnt have a transfer case on it if you still want the 4x4. beside that, i don't see why not, its a new 4.3? or a 4.3 out of a 88? 4L60E's bolt up to the new 4.3s .so if it was off a new truck, then i dont see why a T-56 wouldnt go on, you would just lose the 4WD. a 4.3 off a 700-R probably wouldnt fit.
