Default What rpm does your stock TC stall up to?

I've read that the stocker is set around 1600.

Do they put the same TC in all the 1/2 ton trucks?

Mine stalls up around 2000.

What are you guys seeing, and on which motor?

ok well, if i sat at idle then punched the gas, my rpms would shoot up to 1600rpms and then the truck would take off. now if you put on the brake like you're gonna do a burnout, you can only brake and give it gas to about 1400 rpms before the rear tires start turning. i assume you have a stock torque converter. try just flooring it from idle, then doing a burnout. watch the tach. you'll see what i mean.

3200 rpm.... I know it will go higher. This is with a 1.7 60' and traction problems.

Well, I'm not sure if you guys are doing your 'brake stall' with a line lock or not, but I can keep my rear tires from turning a lot higher than what it 'flashes' at. According to the computer 'flash' was somewhere right at 1500 rpm or just a little lower.

I'll have to test the brake thing - but I don't know what that has to do with the price of tea in China. sounds like it has more to do with how much torque vs. how good of brakes you have.

My brakes hold pretty well,
it will pass 2000 on the brakes,
But it will flash to about 2000 regularly.

Wilde, I see you got a funny radiator thingy

Are you still running a stock converter? What engine? are you making boost at that low rpm?

I want to get a TT2600 someday, and I am wondering where it will actually stall to?

Should I assume it will be closer to 3000 on my truck?

Had a ART CARR 2800 (best 60' 1.9), then I went to a Bone stock 4l80e converter (best 60' 1.7)
The engine is a LQ4 with 918 springs and nothing else. we3ll besides boost and meth .lol
