Thats a Torsen traction device, it was used in the GEN 4 F-bodies.
I am pretty sure its the same as the Tracctech Detroit Truetrac, it uses gears to provide torque to BOTH wheels abnd has no clutches or cones to wear out.

hog let me pick your brain,
if this type was used for the gen 4 f bodys was it any good.
was it better then having a clutch pack.
we have all seen a few pics of the g80 being trashed, did this type hold up any better?
