LOL, I'm probably an idiot for not knowing, but what in the hell is this hose? It's about 3 feet long and has this end on it. It looks like an overflow hose of some sort, but I can't figure it out.

yea I'm pretty sure it's for my tranny. It was my "left over" part from when I swapped converters.

Call me a dumbass, but I can't figure out where it goes back on the tranny.

It is the vent for the tranny, that part goes to nothing (well, the bracket should bolt to one of the bell housing bolt studs but thats it), it should go down to a y with a smaller hose coming off if it that slides over the vent tube coming out of the back of your tranny and then some times there is another pieces off hose that goes down and is just open at the bottom of it to let that one drain if it need to, should the tranny puke out the vent. It's not really a necessary part.

Sweet, that's what I figured. It looks like fluid hasn't touched it in the truck's 9 years. That's also not to mention that I've been driving without it for about 30 miles now.

Looks like it will stay off of the truck. Those bell housing bolts are a bitch without the right tools.
Thanks man.
