just go with the 4.10. that should cover you well unless you begin to trap more than 130mph in the quarter.

well i know i'll drop gas mileage....stock 6.0s don't get that great anyways and i figure with a good dyno tune it will be okay.......i think i'll go with 4.10s and an auburn posi unit......should run better

well, the 4L80E certainly isn't going to help out with milage. its heavier, has a higher parasitic drag, and has less .053 less overdrive ratio.

would it be cheaper if i got the 60 rebuilt to handle the 6.0 and the nitrous or just go with the 80

To get that 2.48 1st gear going you're really going to need the 4.10's.

4.56s is too low......now if it was a track only truck maybe.....but driven on the street every day.....uh uh......

4.56's and a 200 shot just aren't going to work together well. that would just get him into overdrive more than likely before the end of the quarter. overdrive has a very high parasitic drag and is therefore defying the point of using as much of the power as possible. besides, if you run a 4.56 gear, that just means you have more tire than you really need.
