What ET gains going from a 30.6 street tire to 28 slick?
#11
First time i ran 28" ET Streets, i didnt even do a burnout just tried to stall it up before i got to the light.. After goin around the water box.
IF you have to go through the water box just spin them to dry em off..
I cant wait to compare my 26" MT DRs against my 28" Hoosier Slicks with my setup..

So it will not shift until the commanded shift RPM is met, regardless of what the speedo is reading for MPH? The tach will not be thrown off, just the speedo? That makes me feel really intelligent since I ordered: Makita grinder, cheap 15" wheels, & 30" M/T et streets (my stock tires are 255/70's - 30").

Yep it changes nothing except the speedo, well other stuff is affected but not the WOT stuff.. The RPM is based off the engine speed with is completely independent from the wheels...

when i tune a car/truck i set the WOT upshift Speed down really low and let it shift by RPM.. that way it dont matter what size tires they decide to run, its still goin to shift out at the right time.

you REALLY need 26" slicks. Those are going to give you the best 60'. Most people try to use the smallest tire possible, untill they get will spin, and they go up a size. But from street tires to 28" slicks, most of the time improvement should be in the 60' and should pick up a mph or so in the 1/8. And if you don't make it to the 12's, Ive got a bottle that will get you there!
