How do you like your Eaton?? Any problems yet?? The reason why is I can't deside between the Eaton or Tru-Trac.

Richmond gears hands down, you arent going to come close with a OEM GM gear for strength.

I would go with the Truetrac, it will have better long term durability over the Eaton Carbon.

They whine like a spoiled rich bitch. I had richmond 3.90's in my crew cab AP, hated them every minute. I would either use Randy's and get the OEM's or Yukons. OR, Pyle Bros is a very, VERY reputable place, if they say that the US Gears are good, I'd tend to believe them too. Motives are good too, just heard they are not quite as strong as some others, but they would certainly be as strong as the OEM's.

No problems at all with the Eaton. It doesn't "Clunk" around corners like a true locker would and it works as advertised. I had a G80 before so its not a big difference but the Eaton is stronger. And with a blown 6L spinning 24's I figured I'll take all the strength I can get.

i run richmond 4.11's w/ a mini spool in my chevelle. no whine or problems with them what so ever.
i run motive 4.10's w/ an eaton in my truck. have a little whine but not much. i set the backlash to it's allowable max, that's probably why i have a little whine.

Those damn gears they sell are junk for the GM vehicles.
I have two friends that work at the one here in Houston off of 1960 & Kuykendahl.
They even told me that their gears have shown a lot of problems in the GM vehicles due to the marginal quality of their gears.
If both of them say this, then I would definately avoid them.
They themselves say that the O.E gears work best in GM trucks.
I would go with Randy's if their gears are O.E. ones.

mmmm, maybe thats why we got a good deal on them! btw sold that truck last year, :93 gmc stepside, 350, 4.56 gears rancho 6" suspension, 3"body,38 superswampwers, didnt have any gear problems but only went to shows, so i agree if they say there bad then steer clear, thats whats cool about this site, you can ask before buying.
