Default Weight reduction!

Need some ideas on weight reduction! Realist ideas! So far I far I have race stars 17x4 and 15x10 bead locks, no spare tire or hardware, middle leaf spring out, tubular transmission crossmember, no ac at all , no compressor no lines dry or condenser, **** comfort! I’m after times! Goal is 3800! No I have no idea where it at, back when stock before everything was still on, was at 44-4500

Get it weighed now before you start taking more out, that way you know how far/drastic you need to go.

A stepside bed is likely less weight than a fleet side bed. Could gut the bed, back half the truck to remove weight lol.

Remove all interior would be an option too. Past that you don't have much to remove. Going full race mode would be carbon hood, plexiglass windows and rear window, carbon doors.

If we are after times:

smaller coolant degas
eliminate washer reservoir
smaller battery
If it's a 1/4mi truck: smaller rad
roll pan instead of rear bumper
cut out fender structure
cut out door structure
cut out hood structure
strip HVAC and box, reroute heater lines
eliminate beauty cover(s)
simplify wiring harness
remove carpet/juke/factory floor deadener
hang bedside on tube work, cut out the box
C6 oil pan and pickup
smaller alternator
lighter seats and brackets @Atomic Performance
front coilover kit from that guy too
tubular lower control arms
aluminum knuckles
smaller brakes, aluminum calipers

*note some of the above is minuscule, but it all adds up. And some of it is expensive. But look, World Super Bike spends ~4k per bike on titanium hardware to save just about 1.8lbs. So if a $100 alt saves 2lbs, you're money ahead aha

I am thinking bout going to race seats and atomic brackets, what’s a good brand for tubular control arms? Wanting get qa1 coil over kit just not sure what size 550 , 650 or 750 lbs springs, don’t have sway bar no more which hope all ! Been thinking of fuel cell but what to use my factory gauge. Been wondering how much of pita would be to to which over to Holley ? And wire stock gauges to Holley. How hard is it switch over from power to manual brakes? Delete abs pump and booster?

Cap off the rear brakes, remove the lines, rotors, calipers, some fluid, parking brake, probably lose close to 70- 80 pounds. If you don't push HARD on the brakes you're probably not using them anyways. (Not like I've ever done it, but curious how it would go).

That can't be true. The box is more than a foot wider at the cab side, the floor, and the tailgate. The fenders and the wheel wells on the stepside are made of plastic vs a fleetside's steel. I doubt its worth spending what would probably be $500 (yeah right) - $1500 for a good stepside bed, for what little weight you would save, but there's no way I'm believing that unless you weighed em in front of me. I would guess 30-40 pounds. Not worth it for this, but there has to be a difference.

Someone on here posted weights a couple years ago. Lots of reinforcements make it heavier.

Now if you want a light bed you need a pro-tec...
