It's not the gears. I think going from a 3.42 to a 4.10 would be night & day in my 5.3. The 4.8 might be less so, so don't be disappointed. More motor.

I've been told the 3.42 to 4.10 swap is like night and day.

I currently have 3.42 gears with 31.5" tires so essentially they are like 3.23s. Even with the 6.0, it's a ******* TURD down low and off the line.

i shouldn't say dissappointed, but i was wanting a little more. 3.42 to 4.10 is like night and day. i would be very happy if mine was daily driver. i only drive mine <1000 miles a yr. i want 0-100 as fast as possible. 4.56 is better suited for me.

I went from 3.08's to 4.10's, it wasnt night and day, but definitley noticeable. I though it would be crazy all over the road tire spin but it wasnt.
They allowed me to trap at 4900rpm which is perfect for my setup.

peace

4.56's would be crazy. There is a guy in my area with a set. Of course he trailers it to the track. It is wicked fast but, he never drives it on the street. He said you can't even do 60 in it and enjoy it.

That's where the new 6 speed comes into play. Have your cake and eat it too
