Default Update, just ordered FLT 4l80E level 3

Hey guys, i kinda put things on hold for a couple weeks because i wanted to make sure i did everything right the first time for this truck. I just ordered the FLT 4l80E level 3, i don't the kind of HP that will break that tranny i don't think. Also just ordered all the individual parts from Speed Engineering for the conversion w/ the TCI Flexpate. ****'s expensive i'll tell you, and i haven't even ordered my converter. Yank just got back to me, they recommended the 3200 stall, so that's what i'm gonna go with, so you guys called it on here. Anyway, gonna order that next week, in the meantime i'm gonna start ripping out the broken one in the truck. I wonder how much i will get back on the core charge? trading a 60E for an 80E, idk. I am gonna take as many pics as possible and if anyone wants help in the future i'll have i'm sure all the knowledge and pics to help. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for me at this point that would be great. I need to set up my computer for the new 80E, i have BOOMER sending me HPT files on that, i guess i will have to just copy and paste tables, unless you can reflash it somehow that i don't know about. Also, i need to set up my pcm for the stall and i've heard like 3 different ways to do it, but this is the converter i am for sure getting, so if someone could let me know what changes to make TCC wise and any other table are in need of changing. Thanks guys.

funny you say that, that is what i have done to the truck at the moment. I do have plans to put in a 6.0 or an ls1, was actually going to do that here this next month, but the tranny has put that on hold. I say never too much as far as a tranny. I will be bench building my motor that i am gonna buy whichever it may be for a turbo. So yah it doesn't make sense now, but in the next few months i want to buy a motor and start working on it.

Even if thats all he is EVER GOING TO DO. I still honestly would recommend EVERYONE TO that is going to put a tune on a truck, GOD knows it wont stop their, to go to an 80e if money permits.

Now he can beat his truck. I cant wait till the day Im more worried about popping my motor then my tranny. Can we say JUICE, MORE JUICE, AND THEN MORE JUICE!!!!

Congrads on the new trans. FLT makes a beautiful piece and you should have years of worry free use of that one!

no, it's not a direct swap. I'm not sure of the exact things needed(off the top of my head), but speed engineering has a kit for the whole swap. The parts aren't hard to find though so you can end up paying half as much as they sell their kit for it you look around.
