ARe the u joints on the Trucks OUTSIDE OR INSIDE LOCKS????? Need to get some for mine...some clunk going from Park-drive etc...little play.

Still trying to find some online..having a bitch of a time.

The stock u-joints are locked on the inside with some neoprene stuff or something. You have to melt it out to get the stock ones out. The aftermarket one like shown in this thread locks on the inside with c-clips.

Hey bro....I had that exact same problem with my truck and it turned out to be the slip yoke at the rear diif.....and also the crossmember.

hmm...well I ordered two Spicer U joints....When i go under it I will take a peek at the slip yoke for play....

Ive heard that its actually a pretty common occurance for the these GMT800 platform vehicles to have a clunky drivetrain.....opinions?

Very Common... Used To Work For Gm... They Would Just Lube It... Then After Awhile It Starts Again
