Trying to decide which set of heads to use on 5.3 build
#1
Okay guys Im needing to know which set of heads i have would be better for my 5.3l build for my 05 z71. I have a set of 806 heads and a set of 862 heads. Im going with a 224r cam from texas speed and performance, ls6 ported oil pump, ls7 lifters, single beehive valve springs, ls2 timing chain, chromoly push rods, long tube headers, and a circle d 2800 stall. Which heads would be the best for what im doing and what would be the best to so to them when sent to the machine shop to have valve springs installed? All help and info will be appreciated very much, thanks in advance!

if your already spending the money on heads and already getting stuff from Texas speed you should go with PRC from Texas speed best bang for the buck in my opinion a stage 2.5 with mill for 1500$ is ridiculous and the quality and Texas Speed reputation is hands down best choose. I plan on going with these in the next couple moths I have a smaller can then you ofcouse I have a 222-224
