id say with the tune for it, vette servos, and a shift kit youd be alright for a little while.. but your gonna end up with a 80e sooner or later so dont dump alot of cash into it.

personally, I'd rather run a built 60 like from FLT than a power robbing 80 for street use.

other than a servo, thats all I would do it, I would save the money for a built tranny....

I have a vette second gear servo, billet 4th, transgo HD-2 shift kit and a cooler. My 60e has surprised me how well it is holding up, but I don't want any additional surprises, 4l80 is going in soon.
