Poor shifting and heat besides abuse kills trannys...mine died...lol. Shift kit, servos and cooler would definitely be good for a dd with bolt ons. However, chances are after awhile, maybe a year or so, you will want to add other stuff like most of us...lol, so i would buy a tru 40k cooler and servos since they're cheap to begin with and start saving up for a good tranny.... The 09s come with a 4l60 still??? Good luck bro....

Is it still a 4L60? Or is it a 6L80? You can get either in the 09 model. If its a 4L then the usual upgrades will work. A large efficient cooler, transgo hd-2 shift kit, metal accumulator pistons, and a corvette servo usually do the trick. The valve bodies are slightly different on the 09+ models, and I'm honestly not sure if the HD-2 kit will work. I haven't messed with them yet.
