SOOO, I'm assuming that seal needs to be replaced. There is no Transfer case fluid leaking so I've ruled out a pump rub issue being it's all tranny fluid but Im no trans expert either!

Anybody that has had this issue please chime in and let me know what the deal is.

There is fluid in that adapter between the trans and tcase, thats normal. Looks like that paper seal is not sealing correctly or you didnt tighten it down enough....did you just reinstall the tcase? I would drop the tcase and use some black rtv instead of the paper gasket.

No trans was rebuilt about 20 K ago but it's been in there for a while. I did a little freeway run lastnight got up to about 115 and had a quick vibration and i let out, I know I need a better DS but I figured that had something to do with it as well

Might want to check those bolts just to make sure they are still tight...

Those nuts are loose or the adapter is cracked. Seen the adapter crack on a few. That gasket doesn't just fail.

If the transmission was just serviced then my bet is the studs were not locktited after they were removed. They will back out if not locktited. I just went through this with mine, it started pissing fluid from the seal because the nuts loosened up and then I torqued the axles very hard.

This is what I was worried about. I will check the nuts and snug em' up.

Is the adapter a single piece or is it part of the whole transfer case?

Thanks for the help guys!

BOLTS WERE LOOSE!! Lol FAIL... Thanks guys for the heads up I just checked one earlier and it was tight, after I got under it with a wrench the one that holds the bracket for the trans was loose as well as the other one on the opposite side I'll take em' all off and loctite them back on.
