Unhappy Transmission is on its' way out

My transmission fluid is looking pretty nasty, has a nice brownish color to it. I knew it was just a matter of time. The fluid only has a little over 1400 miles on it. I flushed it after the new engine went in hoping it would last a little while. I havent noticed it slipping yet, but I wont be beating on it anymore. Good news is i am about to get my hands on an FLP 4L65e level 5 transmission. Just having to get it sooner than I expected to. Getting a good deal on it, so I got to jump on it now while my truck is still driving.

Have you got any track numbers on that thing yet? I wanna see something impressive!!! I am anxious to see how long that built '60 lasts for you. I know we have similar combos and I have already smoked 2 '80es and 2 torque converters (a Yank and a Precision triple which I was told would hold 1200 horse and that I couldnt hurt it) I hope you luck out and it holds for you, you can definitely run quicker with the '60.

hey randy, don't feel bad about the tranny going out. my freshly built tranny didn't last 24hrs in the truck. it had to be yanked cause the band burned up and no telling what else. we'll see what happens

That sucks John. I trust the builder is going to stand behind it 100% ?
