Default Transmission Cooler

I have a Tru-Cool #4490 tranny cooler laying around that's brand new. Can I replace my stock transmission cooler with this with no problem? Thanks.

Yes that one will work I went with a 40,000 gvw unit but you can get away with that one easily that is one of the more popular sizes go for it especially since you have it already.

Is there any precautions I need to take or tips for the install? Or is it just disconnect the factory one and connect the new?

i used a diff brand but all i had to do was unhook the factory one and cut some rubber hose (supplied with my kit) and place on the new cooler and existing lines. bolt it on the frame and call it a day.

they have anything from a small one all the way to the 40,000 gvw and thats a big one..i would go with the biggets one i could...the 40,000 has a thermostat inside it so it by-passes the fluid till it gets up to temp and then starts going thru the cooler...very nice piece of work for shure...i have the 40,000 gvw and a 60e deep tranny pan for sale if you interested..they are new in the boxes...
