Transmission
#1
I have a question what could be wrong with my transmission sometimes i putted on reverse it doesn't want to move or when it does i have to have the rpm like around 2200 what could it be

That could be the reverse input clutches not applying properly. But that's assuming it's a 4L60E.
Can you give us more info... like how old the unit is, which transmission we're talking about, what's been done to it in the past and so on, what's the combination and so on?

Idk how tight it is but sometimes when I put it in reverse it will go a lil bit and then it completely stops then I have to press the accelerater to where my rpm go a lil high then that when it starts moving but as soon as I let go of it it stops very quickly and yes when I got the transmission fix the guy put a shift kit on it and that's when the reverse problems started.

How long ago was this work done? My suggestion would be to make sure that the 8mm bolts in the rear of the pan area are tight. There is a small spacer plate support plate that could have been left loose when the shift kit was installed. The other thing that I have seen is when the boost valve was installed it might not have been fully seated. Or one of the orifices might have some crap in it and it is restricting reverse boost pressure. All of these things could cause your issue. HTH Vince
