I don't use tow haul anyway, but i was wandering just for the sake of knowledge. Is it recommended to not use the tow hall button with a shift kit in the trans? Seems like i remember seeing/reading somewhere where it was not advised to do so!?

Did it all the time and MANY other people have also. No problems its all in the tune Allen can fix you up when you get one installed.

 

I never liked tow/haul with the shift kit, shifts were way too harsh. I ended up copying the normal shift pressure tables over into the performance table, so now I have the "performance" shift RPM and MPH tables along with the normal shift pressures. Much much better.

 

I use the (stock)tow/haul settings with the shift kit at the track and cruising on the highway. I prefer the downshift characteristics of tow/haul mode over the regular settings at highway speeds.
