Transgo 4l60E/4L65E-HD2 shift kit install?
Should I install everything that comes with the kit or just certain peices? I plan on only using 1 washer or maybe no washers on the accumalater for the shifts. I have read that some guys don't use the entire kit, but I am not sure what is best for a daily driver that pulls a boat once in awhile. Thanks for any advice.

well, for mine the entire kit was not used. i had a tranny shop do the install so i cannot say what was used and what wasn't, but i know i had some parts left over that they gave me back.
and if you have a stock stall, i'd go with 0 washers. i put in 1 washer because i was told higher stalling converters soften shifts, and mine shifts very firm. 1 washer on a stock stall might be too hard for a daily driver. |
Thats good advice on the washers, thanks.

Did you buy a corvette servo and 4th gear servo? You might want to throw those in while your in there....

I'll search again for the answer. I just don't want my tranny to shift so hard that it is uncomfortable to drive. But I do want it to be stronger because I have a radix coming.

I have a shift kit and Superior SUper Servos... but with my 3000 stall it does make them feel alot softer than a Stock TC...
So are you keeping the Stock converter? |
I didn't plan on changing out the convertor. What benefits would a different one do for me?
