Did a WOT run the other morning. Put the gear selector in 3ed, Braked stalled to 3700, then I took off. RPMs jumped to 4K then slowly started to rise. It didnt shift. Got to about 85 and hit the rev limiter so I let off. I cam to a stop and put it back in drive. When I tried to leave It wouldnt shift at all. Set the aeroforce to moniter the current gear, and it showed I was in 2nd gear. Looked for codes and I got a P0502, VSS imput low. I cleared the code, restarted the truck, and it was back to normal. Could this be something in the tune?

 

Have you had any issues with your speedometer? I seem to remember a guy I know with a camaro that had a similar issue at the track doing basically what yours was doing. I cant remember if changing the vss corrected it or if it was tune related because of the stall. If you are having an issue with your speedometer I would start with installing a VSS or at least remove it to see if it is full of debris.

 

No other issues. Just when I try to take off in 3ed gear.
