Trans temp gauge

I just found out that the 1999 and current speedos will accept the trans temp gauge from their web-site. Though they only specify that they can only add their trans temp kit to your current cluster.
They use to just sell the kit, I wonder why they changed from selling just the kit, to having it installed just by them.
They may still just sell the kit, but they probably recommend them doing it so it works properly.

i dunno, i liek the idea of spending 80 bucks on another filter adding another quart of fluid built in with temp gauge i could mount elsewhere

Add another quart??? I don't get it?
Then you still have to buy the gauge.
I do like the way that guy placed that aftermarket Tranny temp gauge. Looks really good and still has an O.E. look. I'm a little jelous though. His shows more temp numbers that I wish mine had.

if you clicked the link you'd see that the temp gauge and filter and everything with fittin and hoses are all included. to fill the hose and filter you add another quart of fluid to the system and with more fluid circulating a longer path everythign has more time to cool down anyways

That was a big selling point for me as well. More fluid = better cooling
