Default Trans Shifting

I have a 03 Envoy and the trans is acting up when you put it in gear and give it throttle the trans hesitates and then bangs into gear, but if you put it in gear and sit for a few seconds its ok. Do you think it could be a cracked 1-2 servo. or what do you think.

Check your fluid level. Sounds like it might be low. Does it do this in forward and reverse?

Tell you what before you drive it next time check the fluid level with the engine off. Then start it up and look to see how far it goes down. I think you might be having a converter drain back problem which is usually caused by lose bushing inside the trans. It is possible that you have a worn or cracked forward accumulator piston. This is located on the valve body under a cover with three bolts. Be careful if you remove this cover because there are a couple springs in there that you do not want to lose. Vince

Ok I changed the filter and fluid and the forward accumulater ***. and it still gos in to gear hard if you dont wait a few seconds. if it has a bushing spun in the housing are there over sized ones to replace it or is the casing junk now if this is the problem. Ill check the level tonight before its started and after.

This is what my truck did when the input clutch was smoked.
