Default Trans help needed please!

Truck is 03 SS AWD . . . Riding down the road today and my truck goes first, second and while pulling in second it acts like it goes to neutral. I had something similar happen when a speed sensor went out a few weeks ago. I pulled over, shifted to park, turned off truck, restarted and every gear acts like neutral, but it will hold in park. There was no noise, bang, clang or anything to make me think broken flex plate or input/output shaft. Truck is not throwing any trans related codes and according to the scan tool the computer is reading when the shifter is in P/N, R, P/N, 4, 3, 2, 1. I am lost. . . . . Any ideas out there? Btw, trans has not been slipping or anything like that so no reason to think it just went out.

having no forward or reverse gears would be a trans failure. There is not electronic issue that can or could cause these symptoms. Sometime you get warning such as slipping gears ETC but from what it sounds like in your case something just broke inside the trans, Unfortunatley it sounds like your going to be rebuilding or replacing the trans Let me know if we can be of any help.
