Default Trans cooler line adapter fitting....

So I have been all over the place looking for this adapter fitting for my trans cooler set-up....this adapter is the SHAPE that I need but isn't the right size.....

Does anyone know of or can anyone find a part number for a fitting that is the sizes I labeled in the picture? That would help me out a LOT! THANKS!

Which trans cooler are you installing? Also, are you trying to use the stock trans cooler lines?

Being the picture you posted looks like a NPT thread design with the taper. Im gonna asume you need a 1/2"npt to 5/16npt reducer bushing?

it's a B&M hi-tech cooler with a fan....I have everything set up and mounted....just trying to use the stock line fittings and screw them into an adapter to 1/2 inch......
I'm starting to think that automotive uses 5/16 and not much else.......LOL....went to every hardware store i could think of....was thinking about calling up EAR fittings to see if they make something like that.....

BRB with a NAPA part number for you.

730-4953 is the Napa part number. The factory line snaps into it, and it fits the Tru-Cool 40K cooler. I believe it's 1/2", but I don't have one right here to check it for you. Maybe you can haul your cooler down to NAPA and make sure it fits.

yes....the threads are all even down the stock fitting with a gasket at the end (not compression right?) and aren't compression type on the cooler.....

even if you come up with nothing.....thank you for looking.....are you looking in a book of theirs or on their website? I went to NAPA today.....I didn't get the old guy (damn IT!)....the guy told me it was a 3/4 size on the end tank part of the trans cooler, and a 3/8 for the stock fitting.....LOL.....I shoulda waited for the old guy talking about port volume VS velocity.....

AWESOME! thank you SO much man! I kept on thinking that there HAS to be a stock style fitting with this 1/2 in end on it

Maybe if I ever make it back up to Elmendorf I'll bring you a six pack man!
