Default Trans cooler with a fan?

Is it worth spending the extra money and getting a trans cooler with the fan on it? While im on the subject, what about getting a deeper trans pan at the same time?

every bit of cooling helps. i run a huge cooler 11x11x1.5 a deep pan and i also have a fan on my cooler but not currently hooked up. you want tranny temps low but if you have a small converter wouldnt worry about it. its once youre over 3400 stall thats when it gets bad for heat.

I'm using a fan off of a Yamaha R6, check ebay and your local cycle dealer for parts off of wrecked bikes. just for reference: my trans temps climb as high as 190* sometimes with a stock converter, white1's temps with a Fuddle 3200 (or is it 3400?) will cool to around 150*. I need to change my thermostat to cool the radiator some and get a bigger cooler cause this ain't cutting it on a stock tranny truck.

That is a good upgrade option! I believe that if you hook that fan up with a sensor to turn the fan on and off it will be the cat's meow! I do know that you can make a home made kit for alot less!

a regular trans cooler and then you find a small elec. fan for cheap... that kit is like 200. if you get a trans cooler for like 50 or something and get a small elec fan for between 50 and 80 and just zip tie them together or something you save money and you could just hook it up to a switch or something

I have "two" stacked 8 pass, 15 1/2" x 10" x 3/4" (ran inline) coolers and my trans temps will range from 160º to 220º depending on how much I get on it. I don't have fans on my coolers now but the fan couldn't hurt.....Hope this helps.....
