Default tranny slipping

ok i hate to say this but i think mines doing it....when im cruising along or whatever it will shift in to second and around 2200 rpm it kinda sounds like a 200rpm surge or something. happens in most gears as i can tell but it only happens under very light throttle. if im on it it feels firm. can someone explain to me what transmission slippage should feel like or sound like? i need to know if i need 2grand real fast or not. fyi, my cam surges at idle at the moment so it could be that.

Slipping tranny will be exactly that. You give it gas and the engine basically free revs.So if its slipping it should be easy to tell.Sounds more like the cam to me.
